Rants and Raves for October 30

Think about it

“200 more jobs lost! At this rate Tifton will become a ghost town! People reading this best start shopping at and supporting local small businesses to help generate new jobs. Shopping the big box stores doesn't help the current lack of jobs, just adds to more layoffs. Think about it.”

A shame

“It's a shame that more people have to lose their jobs. My husband works at Shaw WK. He was lucky. I prayed really hard for him and all his co-workers and I will keep on praying for the ones that did lose their job. May God be with you all.”

Awesome festival

“This is a Rave for Ty Ty Baptist Church; the fall festival y’all did on Saturday night, Oct. 24, was awesome!! My family and I had a great time!!!”

How much?

“How much more can one town take? Seems as if we are all going to have to move out of the country to find jobs. I wonder if we go where these jobs are being outsourced to if we can find one there. I know it is bad everywhere, but when are the people going to come back to the one nation under God and try to build our country back up?”

Lifesaver

“I want to thank Dr. Kurt Branch for saving the life of my cat, Ralphie. He had been lost for three days and when he came home he had a deep cut on his neck and was near death. Dr. Branch kept him overnight and gave him expert care. Thank you so much.”
