A better world
“In response to ‘MYOB’: I agree 100 percent. If people in this world would tend to their own business, it would be a much better world to live in. I know some people like to have everything their way, but that is not the way it should be. These type of people are found in families and jobs.”

Then and there
“To the person who so-called witnessed the child abuse, I think the child should have been spanked where he was acting up and not in the bathroom. True, the father should not have grabbed the child's face and shook it, but if he deserved the spanking then so be it. That's what's wrong with society now; people hate to see children being spanked when they really need to be spanked.”

Congratulations
“Congrats to Matthew Coleman for placing first place overall at the 4H State BB Competition, to the entire team who came in third and to Coach David Haire and parents who put in their hard work and time. Best of luck at Nationals!”

Safe place
“Well, if the panhandlers do get to Tifton, they will be perfectly safe. The citizens of Tifton will have a stroke if a local police car gets on I-75! Come on up, beggars, you'll be perfectly safe here. (Am I the only one who sees the irony in this?)”

Not an issue
I recently witnessed an incident that has left me heartbroken! Two school-age young children were using some very prejudiced remarks with each other. I thought we were past such heartbreaking times. Please, let’s all help to stop this kind of ill-mannered behavior. We are ALL God's children. Race should not be an issue.”

Still with us
“A ranter asked why there are still monkeys. The answer is that there are still monkeys for the same reason that there are still fish, butterflies, clams, and wolves. Evolution is a change in the genetic makeup of a population. This event does not mean that the original population becomes extinct, or that all of its members evolve simultaneously into a particular descendant population. Geographical or reproductive isolation for long periods are usually required before a sub-population becomes genetically distinct from the original.”
