Community made White Cane Day possible

— The Tifton Lions Club, on behalf of The Georgia Lions Lighthouse, would like to say THANK YOU to all those who gave donations during our most recent “White Cane Day.”
We also send thanks to our partner Wal-Mart, Alonzo McCauley, manager, for allowing our club to set up outside their Super Store. They are special partners when it comes to the Tifton community, and we appreciate their continued support over the years.
The White Cane funds collected on that day are sent directly to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse and are spent back in Tifton with our Vision Clinic which has been present in the Tifton community since March 2007. We have served many low or no-income families with help in having eye exams and getting glasses. We plan on continuing as long as we can financially support this necessary project for our community.
Again, without those generous individuals and families that gave to our Lions Club members, it would not be possible for us to carry out the Lions motto, “We Serve.” Thank you, Tifton community, for coming through again! Your donation does make the difference!
