Death notices for Nov. 9

Dixie Holmes, 83, of Adel died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn City Cemetery. The family will be receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Purvis Funeral Home. Survivors include her son, Joel Holmes of Adel; and her daughter, Lisa Deariso of Sylvester. Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Holmes and one brother, Carl Schultz.Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.purvisfh.com. Purvis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty Jo Mintz Wilson, 76, of Tifton died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at her residence.  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Unity Baptist Church with a private family burial to be held at a later date in Bushnell, Fla. You may offer condolences to the family at the online guest registry at www.bowen-donaldson.com. Services for the Wilson family are being provided by Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Complete obituary information will be provided later.

Alphonso Jones, 65, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Sylvester Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Pentecostal Full Gospel Crusade in Poulan. Burial will follow at Sheppard Memorial Garden. Vistitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Fields and Terrys' Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
