Death notices for Nov. 16

Deacon Earnest Walker, 85, of Enigma died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Church of God in Alapaha. Survivors include his wife, Alvester Walker of Enigma; a daughter, Mary Ann Rozer of Riverdale; five step-children, Earl Little of Enigma, Samuel and Jack Little, Shirley Hester and Betty Jones, all of Miami, Fla.; three sisters, Mattie and Patty Walker of Enigma and Bertha Barge of Miami. Alzena Jackson of Tifton died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 in Augusta. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Taylor Family Funeral Service.

Benjamin Holland Jr., 33, of Tif ton died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Christ's Church on Brighton Rd. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Crossroad Cemetery in Coffee County. Survivors include his wife, Kionna Holland; two daughters, Arnijah and Sanaa of Tifton; parents, Clara and Lester Burks and Linda Holland; two brothers, Orlando Ingram of Butler and Nijah T. Holland of Douglas; and a sister, Bernara Holland of Tifton. Sympathy and condolences can be expressed to the family at  www.taylorfamilyfuneralservice.com. Martha Elizabeth “Beth” Oglesby Herrin, 55, of Athens, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Athens Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Among Ms. Herrin’s survivors are her sister and brother-in-law, Lesa and Guy Cox of Tifton.
