Charlotte Tyson

NASHVILLE — Charlotte Tyson, 67, of Nashville died Friday, May 11, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett and the Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Interment will follow at Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation is from 7 to 9 tonight.

Mrs. Tyson was born June 22, 1944 in Berrien County to the late Phillip Jackson Turner and the late Ruby Lee Taylor. She was employed with Berrien Nursing Center as a certified nurse aid. She was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church and attended Faith Chapel. Mrs. Tyson gave her heart fully to serve others through making homemade blankets, hats and cakes. She was truly a giving person who loved serving the Lord, family, friends and church. She was the widow of Robert Eugene Tyson, who died in 2002.

Mrs. Tyson is survived by her daughter, Tina (Scott) Stalnaker of Nashville; a son, Bill (Billie Joe) Sutton of Nashville; a half daughter, Pam Sutton (Bobby) Hilliard of Adel; three stepdaughters, Pam Tyson and Renee Bodine, both of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Sherry Merek of Mountain Rest, S.C.; a stepson, Glenn Tyson of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two sisters, Beverly (Carl) Pafford of West Berrien and Phyllis (Alton) Bailey of Nashville; a brother, Billy (Lee) Turner of Nashville; three grandchildren, Summer, Reed and Boone; and several half and step grandchildren.

Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
