William Felton “Dub” Pate Sr.

ASHBURN — William Felton “Dub” Pate Sr., 71, of Ashburn died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner County.

The family will receive friends immediately following the services at Perry Funeral Chapel.

The son of the late Albert Felton and Lula Reece Whiddon Pate, Mr. Pate was born in Ashburn. He was a member of The Harmony Baptist Church. He was a real estate broker, appraiser and owner of Pate Properties and Appraisers in Ashburn. He had lived in Turner County most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Pless Pate of Ashburn, to whom he married December 15, 1963; his daughter, Tina Pate of Ashburn; his son and daughter-in-law, Monty and Kim Pate; his grandchildren, Ally Pate and Lexi Pate, all of Tifton; and his brothers and sister, L.A. “Sonny” (LaVerne) Pate of Irwinville, Glenn (Phyllis) Pate of Ashburn and Lurece P. (Billy) Kelley of Jacksonville, Fla. He is also survived by his faithful and loving dog, Winston.
