Carol Faye O’Berry
NASHVILLE— Carol Faye O’Berry, 61, of Nashville died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Pickern and the Rev. Riley O’Berry Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Nashville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Lovein Funeral Home.
Mrs. O’Berry was born April 6, 1947 in Pasco County, Fla., to Vasco Harrelson and Maxie Marie Spells, both deceased. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Riley Lawson O’Berry, who died in 2004; four brothers and two sisters, Raymond, Ernest, Herman and Russell Harrelson, Linda Gray and Gail Griffin.
Mrs. O’Berry died as she wished, at home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Bethany Hospice. She was a member of Hope Baptist Church. She dearly loved her family, her pet dog, Buck Wheat, flower gardening and the ocean at Amelia Island. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, the Rev. Riley O’Berry Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Nashville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Shaun Hall, Sandi and Ronnie Skinner, and Wanda and Marvin Barker, all of Nashville; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Flossie Harrelson of Nashville; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Ray McClellan of Lagrange; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and an aunt, Katherine Kelley.
