Mrs. Mullis was born Oct. 30, 1926 in Bartow County to Harrison B. and Florrie M. Townsend Heath, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Mullis; three brothers, Gary Lee Heath, Mitchell Benjamin Heath and Harrison B. Heath Jr.; and one sister, Inez Garland.

Mrs. Mullis was a retired spinner from Fieldcrest Mills in Columbus. She was a member of Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mullis is survived by seven brothers, John Homer Heath of Dalton, Leslie Heath of Columbus, Jackie Heath of Columbus, Eugene Heath of Lawrenceville, Emme Heath of Cataula, Emmett Heath and Wayne Heath, both of Phenix City, Ala.; and two sisters, Barbara Knight of Fort Meade, Fla., and Clara M. Adams of Conyers.
