Evelyn Connell, 71 of Adel, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Memorial Hospital of Adel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Purvis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Purvis Funeral Home. Purvis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Carol Marie Sapp, 65 of Stafford Va., died Sept. 24, 2007. Graveside services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Purvis Funeral Home. Purvis Funeral Home of Adel is in charge of arrangements.
Martha Cooper Walker, 88, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Mrs. Walker is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Ray and Lynn Walker. Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Ann White, 50, of Tifton, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later time by Southview Mortuary, Inc.
Wynell Folsom, 73, of Adel, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at her residence following a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Springhead Baptist Church. Burial will be at Folsom Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mrs. Folsom is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Michael and Lynn Folsom of Statenville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and John Henry Surrency and Glenda and Jeff Biederman, all of Adel, and Cheryl and Howard Mathews of Sparks; four sisters, Geneva Bradford of Tifton, Mildred Brady of Toccoa, Estelle Ragland and Irma Lee Howell, both of Adel. Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Polly Hughes Lewis, 91, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.

Nancy Armantrout Burdette, 54, of Abbeville, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Burdette is survived by her husband, John C. Burdette of Milledgeville; sisters Donna Cromer of Abbeville and Juanita Reeves of Loganville; stepchildren Vance Burdette of Rockhill, S.C., James Burdette, Tim Burdette and Nathan Burdette. Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald is in charge of arrangements.
Magaline Calhoun, 60, of Tifton died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Springfield Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Survivors include her mother, Florence Doleman of Lenox; her stepmother, Lola Mae White of Tifton; two sons, Lyndon White of Gainesville, Fla., and Tony Graham of Fitzgerald; four brothers, Willie Jackson of Tifton, Richard Jackson and Dale Dean of Lenox, and Jonathan Doleman of Valdosta; 10 sisters, Annie Mae Briggs and Katie Dean of Miami, Fla., Barbara Green, Doris Dean, Patricia Johnson, Teresa Dean, Annie Mae Tumbling and Juanita King, all of Tifton, Marjorie Hart of Lenox and Ruthie Mae Richardson of Albany. Taylor Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Jacky W. Renew died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete and will be annoucned later by Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
