Roger D. Markham



DEBARY, Fla. — Roger D. Markham, 63, of DeBary, formerly of Ty Ty, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care Center in Orange City, Fla. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City with Chaplain David Meyer presiding.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners.

Roger was born Oct. 5, 1946, in Guin, Ala., the son of Banks and Ethel Barton Markham. He is survived by his wife, Elaine West Markham; his son, Banks Markham of Orlando, Fla.; brothers Charles Markham of Ty Ty, William Markham of Roswell and Wayne Markham of Sycamore; and a granddaughter, Brittany Groover of Orlando, Fla. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher, in May 2008.

Roger was an educational specialist for the Department of Defense, NAVAIR. He was past president of the directors’ staff Shriners.

Baldauff Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Orange City, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
