Local officers take investigation to Fla., arrest 3

TIFTON —

Three Florida men were arrested in this week in connection with a home invasion that took place July 11 on Ty Ty Omega Road.

Marcel Emile Derosier, 32, of Naples, Fla.; Cristoval Trevino, 33, of Naples, Fla.; and Pedro Trevino, 35, of Immokalee, Fla. were charged after Sgt. Jason Barber and Lt. Col. Larry Taylor went to Naples, Fla. to pursue the investigation. They were aided by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Collier County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office.

During the home invasion, cash, credit cards and firearms were taken. Three victims at the home were checked at the scene by Tift County EMS, and two of the three said they had been struck on the head with a handgun by one of the suspects. The third victim was unsure whether the hit received was from a handgun, but had been struck also.

The suspects are being held in the Tift County Jail, and have been charged each with one count of armed robbery. No bond had been set at press time. The investigation is continuing, and more charges are expected.

At the time of the arrest, some of the stolen property was recovered.
