The parade will have floats, beauty queens, antique cars, a band and more. Grand Marshall for the parade will be Miss Georgia 2008, Chastity Hardman. She will also be singing and signing autographs following the parade.

There will be non-stop live entertainment featuring Todd Allen Herendeen and his “Follow That Dream Band” at 2 p.m., Daryle Singletary at 4 p.m., clogging groups and more.

A fireworks display sponsored by the Town of Alapaha will be downtown at 6 p.m. that night and a concert and street dance at 7 p.m.
