Investigators said an ongoing feud led to the shooting death Wednesday night of a 20-year-old man. Three men have been arrested and charged with murder — July’s second shooting murder.

Barry Bullard, 20, who lived at an address on South Central Avenue, was shot and killed at Dees Apartments on East 13th Street at approximately 9:30 p.m.

“This is the tragic end of a feud that has been ongoing for a couple of weeks,” Tifton police detective Bryan Cavenaugh said.

Cavenaugh said three males in a gold Lexus approached the area they knew was a place Bullard frequented and a confrontation took place. During the incident, Cavenaugh said, the driver of the Lexus attempted to back out into the street. When doing so, the vehicle struck a garbage can and a mail box, which lifted the car’s wheels from the ground and rendered the car incapable of moving. The offenders fled the scene on foot and one of them was injured in the process and sought medical treatment in a hospital in a neighboring county. Detectives with the TPD and the Tift County Sheriff’s Office responded to the hospital where the suspect was arrested without incident. A few hours later, two additional suspects were arrested. One of them was hiding under a couch.

Jeremy A. Reynolds Jr., 30, 310 Old Omega Road, Lot H-3, Neddrick M. Green, 23, 2308 S. College Ave., and Allen D. Williams, 23, 925 Collins St. were each arrested and charged with Bullard’s murder.

According to the incident report filed by a Tifton Police Dept. officer, someone called E-911 and reported shots fired in the area. When he arrived, he found Bullard shot and lying on the ground in front of apartment number 155 A.

The officer wrote that “because of the chaotic nature of the situation and the large number of people on the scene, I called for additional units to assist with crowd control.”

The condition of a 26-year-old Tifton woman stabbed multiple times Tuesday afternoon has been upgraded from critical to serious, according to a spokesman at Tift Regional Medical Center. Michelle Latasha Scott was stabbed inside the residence of 2716 Highland Ave. in what investigators with the Tift County Sheriff’s Office described as a domestic dispute. James Renard Felton, 24, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault in the case.
