SYLVESTER — Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Garza of Sylvester announce the engagement of their daughter, Tanya Gisela Garza, to Hank Majeski of Sylvester, son of Jan Majeski of Sylvester and Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Majeski of Ashburn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Agustina Gonzalez of Valle Hermoso, Mexico, the late Hector Gonzalez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Garza Sr. She is a 2004 Worth County High School graduate and a 2006 graduate of ABAC where she earned her associate’s degree in early childhood. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish education and is currently employed with Valdosta City High School as a Spanish teacher.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Majeski of Tifton and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Pearman of Chula. He is a 2001 Worth County High School graduate and a 2008 graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education. He is currently employed with Echols County High School as an agricultural teacher.

The wedding will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 26 at Northside Baptist Church in Sylvester. Family and friends are invited to attend.
