Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Arrests made from March murder
The Tifton Police Department has charged three people in connection with the murder of 62-year-old Sylvester Downs on March 23, according to a press release from Lt. Lee Dunston.
Consurilla McCray Mayo, 34, of Tifton; Deonta Rashad Rich, 20, of Tifton; and Justin Rashad Dixon, 23, of Omega have all been charged with armed robbery and felony murder in regards to this incident.
Dustin Kidd charged in Irwin school situation
Dustin Kidd, a 17-year-old former student at the school, is being held at the Irwin County Detention Center following a disturbance at Irwin County High School Tuesday.
“He has not been before a magistrate judge yet,” Ocilla Police Chief Billy Hancock said. “But I expect him to be charged with having weapons on school grounds, possession of a pistol by someone under the age of 18 and interference of a public school system.”
Man shot, killed in Nashville
According to law enforcement, a man was shot in Nashville early Saturday morning.
